Final round of the 2015 season news from MMR

For those who may  not have seen this before, Mark has asked me to post this on the site.

 

Only 1 week to go until Round 8 of the BRCA LSOR Championships here at MMR Raceway.

With a last push by the team this weekend the UKs newest off-road large scale race track will be ready for the final round of what has been a great Championship year!

You can put M4 Karting into google maps and it will show our exact location

Camping will be available from Friday and is £10 per pitch for the weekend,

We have onsite toilet and water facilities.

The track will open for practice from around12:30 till 18:00 on Saturday and it will be £5 per driver to practice!

Finding the MMR Raceway:

From the M4 Head north on the A429 Malmesbury Road for 1.5miles, Take the turning left for Hullavington and our gate is immediately on the right. You will be directed to the track entrance from this point.

From Cirencester/North Follow the A429 past Malmesbury and through the village of Corston, After the village you will dip under a railway line and you will then see our Hangar on the right, Take the turning right immediately after the hangar and the entrance is on the right.

Look out for local MMR signs we plan to add from the 2 major routes detailed above

PLEASE NOTE: Please can you all take all your rubbish home with you. We will provide you black bin bags.

2015 AGM Reminder

The 2015 section AGM & trophy presentation will be held as normal following the main BRCA AGM which is being held at 9AM on the 18th October at

The Heritage museum will be accessible to all those who attend our AGM by the issuing of a ticket at the end of our session. Gaydon has its own café and the museum will be open until late afternoon too so we should all be able to have a walk around. Proposals submitted are currently being compiled and will be issued on line later this week along with our section agenda.

2015 Rnd 7 – North Ings Info.

For those attending this weekends 2015 LSOR national round at North Ings then please read the following from Roger and Graham.
With only a few days to go until Round 7 of the BRCA LSOR Championships at North Ings!
Everything is now done and we’re just waiting for the event. With a new rostrum floor, roof and new pit table what could be better! Camping will be available from Friday and is £10 for the weekend, water is in the same place as last year and the toilets will be arriving Friday.
The track will open at about 12:30 for 5 hours and it will be £5 to practise!
There will be a catering van on site on Sunday only.
The postcode is LN4 3QB.
Depending on your locations the best way to come to us is to head into Ruskington, then through the village heading towards Lincoln, this will take you onto the Dorrington Road, at the pub called ‘The Musicians Arm’, turn right there (there should be signs up), follow that road under the railway bridge until you reach the sign for the museum on the right, there should also be some Northings Raceway signs up too!
Please can you also take all your rubbish home with you and we can provide you black bin bags.

BRCA Membership Notice

The BRCA will be issuing a fresh looking association website in a few weeks and as part of this new launch the association is re-setting the membership number system, most likely to a six digit number system. so IF you wish to request to keep your old number you will have from when we open up for renewals until January 1st 2016. More info coming soon.

BRCA LSOR Rnd 6 – Thank you

The section would like to thank all those who made the trip north to the Pickering RC track for round 6 of our 2015 series.

Neil, Robin and all involved thank you for providing a cracking venue, nice food and wonderful weather.

Finally the section wishes to congratulate the winners of all classes.

Results from the weekend are now online and pictures should be up before the week is out.

 

We look forward to seeing you all again in September for Rnd 7 at the North Ings Raceway, don’t forget the deadline for BRCA LSOR 2015 AGM proposals is the 7th September.
